5月14日オハイオ州立大学(OSU)の海外学習プログラム(Study Abroad Program)に参加された学生が、当館をご見学されました。本学の二瓶直子先生、平健介先生も同行され、本学元教員の黄鴻堅先生、そして麻布大学の学生が皆様をご案内いたしました。
On May 14, students participating in the Study Abroad Program from The Ohio State University (OSU) visited our museum. They were accompanied by Dr. Naoko Nihei and Dr. Kensuke Taira from our university. Dr. Ooi and students from Azabu University guided the visitors during their tour.

皆様にとって、当館の動物の資料は大変珍しいものだったようで、普段あまり目にすることのない標本をひとつひとつ興味深そうに観察する姿がとても印象的でした。展示ケースの前で足を止めながら細かな部分まで熱心に観察し、麻布大学の学生に質問をする姿も見られました。
The animal specimens in our museum seemed to be quite unique and fascinating for the visitors, and it was especially impressive to see them carefully observing each specimen with great interest. They frequently stopped in front of the display cases to examine the exhibits in detail, and some were also seen enthusiastically asking questions to the students from Azabu University.

特に、本物の骨に触ることができるハンズオンコーナーでは、ゾウなどの大型哺乳類の骨格標本の重さに驚き、部位を確認したり、感触を確かめるなど、新たな発見を楽しむ様子が見られました。
In particular, at the hands-on corner where visitors could touch real bones, the students were amazed by the weight of the skeletal specimens of large mammals such as elephants. They appeared to enjoy making new discoveries as they identified different parts of the bones and explored their texture and felt firsthand.

また透明骨格標本のあまりの美しさに驚かれる方もいらっしゃいました。博物館解説サークル「ミュゼット」が作製したものだと知ると、さらに驚かれている様子が印象的でした。
Some visitors were also amazed by the striking beauty of the cleared skeletal specimens. When they learned that these specimens had been created by "Musette," the museum explanation club at Azabu University, they appeared even more impressed.

オハイオ州立大学学生のご見学は毎年の恒例となっており、今年も本学ESSに所属する学生たちが皆様をご案内してくださいました。普段異なる文化圏で学ぶ学生たちが、自分たちとは異なる価値観や考え方に触れ合い、それぞれの視野を広げる貴重な機会になったようです。異文化の垣根を超えた笑顔が展示室に溢れ、国際色豊かなひとときとなりました。
The visit by students from The Ohio State University has become an annual tradition, and this year as well, students belonging to the ESS club at Azabu University guided the visitors through the museum. It appeared to be a valuable opportunity for students from different cultural backgrounds to encounter perspectives and ways of thinking different from their own, thereby broadening their horizons. Smiles that transcended cultural boundaries filled the exhibition rooms, creating a truly international and memorable atmosphere.
