12月23日（火）北イリノイ大学の皆様がご来館されました。
皆様の今回の来日プログラムのテーマは「日本での発見：健康と持続可能性、そして文化的価値観への理解」とのこと、その一環として当館をご見学いただきました。

ボランティアとして参加した本学学生が展示室を案内し、展示資料の解説をして、国際交流を深めました。

他ではなかなか目にすることのできない、本物の骨を組み立てた骨格標本を前に、学生が骨格の特徴や見方について説明をしました。皆様は、興味深い様子で標本を観察し、活発な意見交換が行われる場面も見られました。

On December 23, visitors from Northern Illinois University toured our museum.
Their visit to Japan was part of a program themed "Discover Japan: A Journey into Health, Sustainability, and Cultural Wisdom," and our museum was included as one of the program activities.
On the day of the visit, volunteer students from our university guided the guests through the exhibition rooms and provided explanations of the displays, helping to promote international exchange.
In front of rare skeletal specimens assembled from real bones, the students explained the characteristics of the skeletons and how to observe them. The visitors carefully examined the specimens with great interest, and lively discussions took place throughout the tour.

寄生虫のコーナーでは、日本とアメリカでの感染症に対する考え方や対策の違いについて、話題が広がりました。

At the parasite exhibit, discussions expanded on the differences between Japan and the United States in their approaches to infectious diseases and prevention measures.

ハンズオンコーナーでは本物の骨格標本を触れ、感触や重さなどを体感していただきました。

At the hands-on corner, visitors were able to touch real skeletal specimens and experience their texture and weight firsthand.

当館の様々な展示をご覧いただきながら、大学制度や学生生活の違いをはじめ、それぞれの文化や習慣についても意見を交わし、国際色豊かな笑顔が広がる中、相互理解を深める様子が印象的でした。

While viewing the various exhibits in our museum, the visitors exchanged ideas about differences in university systems and student life, as well as each country's culture and customs. It was impressive to see them deepen mutual understanding with many warm, international smiles throughout the visit.
